Setting up a home Azan clock

A good home setup starts with the correct location, a trusted calculation method and a comfortable audio level.

Placement

Put the device where the household already gathers, not in a spare room. Audible from the kitchen and visible from the hallway beats perfectly positioned and ignored.

Location

Set your actual city, not the nearest large one. In a big metropolitan area the difference is a few minutes; across a region it can be much more.

Method

Choose the calculation profile your community or marja follows, then compare a week against a locally reviewed timetable before trusting it.

Sound

Set Fajr quieter than the rest. If anyone in the home is a light sleeper, start lower than you think and raise it after a few days.

Household settings

Agree quiet hours and which prayers are called aloud. A setup that works for everyone stays switched on.

Troubleshooting

If something is off, check location, timezone, daylight saving and method in that order before adjusting anything else.
